Azzurra Bagni: Italian Bathroom Furniture with Real Design Depth

Azzurra Bagni Italian bathroom furniture — available in the UK via Specifo

Azzurra Bagni

Italian bathroom furniture with over 40 years of manufacturing heritage. Six collections, 300+ finishes, unlimited combinations — available in the UK through Specifo.

Why Azzurra Bagni?

If you’re specifying or sourcing Italian bathroom furniture for a residential or hospitality project in the UK, Azzurra Bagni is a name worth knowing. Based in Cecchini di Pasiano, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy — the heartland of Italian furniture manufacturing — Azzurra has been producing bathroom furniture since 1980. That’s over four decades of refined production and design development, all Made in Italy.

The brand’s philosophy sits around a simple idea: the bathroom as a space for wellbeing, not just function. Their collections reflect that — clean architecture, serious material choice, and a modular system that gives designers and architects genuine flexibility without compromising the quality of the result.

Specifo supplies Azzurra Bagni direct to UK architects, interior designers, developers, and contractors. No middleware, no inflated margins — just the product, competitively priced for larger-volume projects.

The Six Azzurra Bagni Collections

Azzurra’s range is built around one core system — the Lime family — with four variations defined by their door opening mechanism. Two further collections extend the offer into laundry rooms and compact spaces. Here’s what each one is, and how they differ.

Azzurra Bagni Lime Ø — external handle bathroom furniture collection
Collection 01 / 06

Lime Ø

External handle — the expressive choice External Handle

The most characterful of the Lime series. Lime Ø uses external handles — applied to the fronts of doors and drawers — as a visible design statement rather than just a functional element. The handles come in a variety of forms, from the minimal Gate and Simple to the sculptural Aster and the push-and-pull mechanism. Each handle type creates a different aesthetic register, from understated to bold.

Particular to Lime Ø is the option for Canneté fronts — a repeating vertical or horizontal bas-relief texture, available in asymmetric (Type A) or symmetric (Type B) configurations. Wood veneer fronts can be specified with natural grain flow, mirrored “Bilia” book-matching, or deliberate asymmetric grain for movement and character.

15 compositions — Gate, Diva, Simple, Push&Pull, Fly, Grip, Club, Aster, Lateral, Lime, and more

Azzurra Bagni Lime 1.0 — integrated handle bathroom furniture collection
Collection 02 / 06

Lime 1.0

Integrated handle — minimal and architectural Integrated Handle

Lime 1.0 takes a quieter approach. The handle is integrated into the door itself — no protruding hardware, no visual interruption. Four distinct integrated handle types are available: Nest (a recessed channel at the top edge), Jey (a hollow recess flush with the door), Tratto (a slight protrusion that adds a thin graphic mark), and Lofty (a deeper groove interpretation with more visual weight).

Each creates a different tension between door and frame. Nest and Jey are the most minimal; Tratto and Lofty have more presence. All four share the same modular system and material library, so a project can mix handle types across different areas of the same bathroom if required.

19 compositions — across Nest, Jey, Tratto, and Lofty handle families

Azzurra Bagni Lime 2.0 — groove opening bathroom furniture collection
Collection 03 / 06

Lime 2.0

Groove opening — pure and architectural Groove Opening

Lime 2.0 replaces the handle entirely with a groove cut into the top or bottom of the door — a clean 45° detail that functions both as grip and as architectural accent. The groove can be specified in the same finish as the front (tonal, disappearing into the surface) or in a contrasting colour or material (making it a deliberate graphic element).

The collection is well suited to residential and hospitality environments where a completely flush, handleless aesthetic is required but more visual interest is wanted than a completely plain door. It adapts well to both lacquered and wood veneer fronts, where the groove line reads differently against each material.

21 compositions — numbered 221 through 241

Azzurra Bagni Lime 3.0 — groove and 45 degree mitered sides bathroom furniture
Collection 04 / 06

Lime 3.0

Groove + 45° mitered sides — the most architectural Groove + 45° Sides

Lime 3.0 takes the groove opening of Lime 2.0 and adds a defining feature: the doors and side panels are mitered at 45°. This changes the visual weight of the furniture significantly — the 45° joint eliminates the visible edge entirely, creating a continuous, sculptural quality where the unit appears to float. It’s the most architecturally considered of the four Lime variants.

Additional features specific to Lime 3.0 include integrated washbasin tops lacquered to match the furniture, a design container mirror, revolving lamp options, metal designer feet in five colours, backlit mirrors with touch controls, and a storage bar with towel rail. It’s the most fully resolved system in the range for high-specification projects.

18 compositions — numbered 301 through 318

Azzurra Bagni Lime Wash — laundry room furniture collection
Collection 05 / 06

Wash (Lime Wash)

Laundry room furniture — designed, not afterthought Utility Room

Lime Wash extends Azzurra’s design language into the laundry room — a space that typically receives little design attention but is used constantly in residential and hospitality contexts. The collection treats the utility room as a proper room, with furniture that coordinates visually with the bathroom and is engineered for the specific demands of the space.

Key functional details include a movable perforated board over the laundry tub (allowing it to function as a sink, laundry basin, and washboard), wheeled drawers for detergent and laundry storage, Tecnoril water-repellent feet on open structures, 6cm thick portal construction, aluminium plinths or optional wheels, and internal rail and lighting in column units. Nine compositions available.

9 compositions — W-01 through W-09

Azzurra Bagni Block — compact bathroom furniture for small spaces and contract
Collection 06 / 06

Block

Compact units — for small spaces and contract Compact / Contract

Block is Azzurra’s answer to the compact bathroom — base units, monoblocks, and console-mounted pieces designed specifically for restricted footprints. It’s well suited to apartment developments, student accommodation, hotels, and secondary bathrooms where a full Lime system isn’t practical but the quality of finish still matters.

The collection includes a range of named sub-formats: Soft (curved console), Syntesi (wall-hung unit), Picasso (sculptural console), Tube (cylindrical column), Slim (slimline profile), Just (minimal), Set-Up, Tak, and Square Evo. Despite the compact format, all Block pieces share the same material and finish library as the main Lime collections, which allows consistency across a multi-room or multi-unit project.

Materials & Finishes

All six collections share the same material library — which means finishes are genuinely transversal. A colour chosen for a Lime 3.0 bathroom can be carried through to a Block guest bathroom and a Wash utility room without any mismatch. The range breaks down as follows:

37
Dekorativo 3D melamine — wood, stone, concrete, and texture effects
58
Matt lacquered colours — soft-touch, including 5 metallic tones
4
Lacquered Metal — steel, lead, titanium, bronze (no heavy metals)
12
HPL Unicolor — high-pressure laminate in wood and stone effects
10
Real wood veneers — Eucalyptus, Oak in 8 tones, Moka, Nero
4
Lacquered Canneté — any of 58 lacquer colours in bas-relief texture

What Makes Azzurra Different

Genuinely modular

Over 1,500 matching elements across the system. Any combination of base units, columns, open shelving, mirrors, and worktops can be configured and will coordinate because they share the same dimensional and material logic.

Transversal finishes

The full material library — all 300+ finishes — runs across every collection. A single project can specify Lime 3.0, Block, and Wash and achieve perfect colour and material consistency throughout.

Designed beyond trends

Azzurra’s own description of their collections as “transversal, transcending trends” is accurate. The Lime system has stayed relevant across decades because it’s based on architectural proportion rather than decorative fashion.

Residential and hospitality

Lime 2.0 explicitly adapts to hotel contexts. Block is contract-ready. The range as a whole is specified across private residential, apartment developments, and hospitality — the quality level supports all three.

Serious woodworking

Wood fronts can be specified with natural grain, Bilia book-matching, or deliberate asymmetric grain. Canneté texture is available in symmetric or asymmetric versions, horizontally or vertically oriented.

Italian manufacturing

Produced in Cecchini di Pasiano, Friuli Venezia Giulia — the northern Italian manufacturing belt known for precision furniture production. Quality control, origin, and supply chain transparency are all part of the proposition.

Common Questions

How do the four Lime collections differ?

They share the same modular system and material library but differ in how the door opens. Lime Ø uses a visible external handle — the most expressive option. Lime 1.0 uses an integrated handle (Nest, Jey, Tratto, or Lofty). Lime 2.0 uses a groove cut into the door top or bottom. Lime 3.0 adds 45° mitered sides to the groove system for the most architectural finish.

Which collection has the most compositions to choose from?

Block has 22 named compositions, making it the most varied single collection. Lime 2.0 has 21, Lime 1.0 has 19, Lime 3.0 has 18, Lime Ø has 15, and Wash has 9.

Can finishes be mixed across collections in one project?

Yes — this is one of the key design strengths of the Azzurra system. All 300+ finishes run across every collection, so a primary bathroom in Lime 3.0, a guest room in Block, and a utility room in Wash can all be specified in the same lacquer colour or wood finish.

Is Azzurra Bagni suitable for hospitality and developer projects?

Yes. Lime 2.0 explicitly references hotel and public environments. Block is designed with contract efficiency in mind. Both collections — along with the rest of the range — are used across residential and hospitality projects. For multi-unit residential developments where bathroom volume is 30+, this is a particularly strong option.
